Education, food, health care, human dignity, and animal care — no one thrives until their essential needs are met.
"No one could truly thrive — mentally, emotionally, or physically — without first having their essential needs met." — Dr. Kay Dorr
Our Mission
The Abbey Aum Foundation was born from a profound commitment to serve those in need — whether through access to education, spiritual support, care for animals, or simply helping people meet their most basic human needs.
We believe dignity is not a privilege. It belongs to everyone. And we are proud to empower our community to care for its own — neighbor to neighbor, generation to generation.
Areas of Impact
Expanding access to learning and knowledge so every person can build the life they envision.
Ensuring no one in our community goes hungry — because nourishment is the foundation of everything.
Supporting access to physical and mental health resources so every person can truly thrive.
Ensuring dignity and support are never out of reach for any member of our community.
Caring for the animals who enrich our lives and reflecting compassion for all living beings.
In Loving Memory
At the heart of this foundation was Dr. Kay Dorr, a beloved psychologist who served the Glasgow community for over 40 years. She believed fiercely that no one could truly thrive — mentally, emotionally, or physically — without first having their essential needs met.
Dr. Dorr dedicated her life to ensuring that dignity and support were never out of reach for anyone. She championed empowering our community to care for its own residents, and her spirit lives on in every act of service we carry forward.
She would be smiling.
Your support helps us honor Dr. Dorr's legacy and ensure that no one in our community is left without the care they deserve.
